The Rabbit ButchersThe masks the company kept

A cherry petal has caught on the cheek of Glassbishop’s rabbit mask. He raises one finger in the lobby, the way an instructor does. He is briefing the other three before they go through the door.

They are four, they work for a corporation, and they are here to make a problem disappear. Muzzle goes in last and comes out first to say it is done. The masks were meant to be thrown away after the job. Then one witness survived and described them too well, so the company kept them instead.

A studio note: the teaser runs forty-eight seconds and never shows what happens in the room. It cuts from the lobby before to the smile after. One frame came back with a misprinted word on the file label. I kept that frame in the edit.

The squad

Four operators work for a corporation, and all four wear white rabbit masks over teal suits and carry magenta cleavers. Glassbishop, on file as Bishop Gutglass, handles them. Muzzle, filed as Ashen Hare, works smoke and gas at low signature. Kettlehammer, Rook Kettle, is heavy assault, an anger-management failure turned into a weapon. Waltz-1, Wink Marrow, runs psy-ops. Each one has a CONFIDENTIAL FILE, a lineup portrait and a sheet of expression variants. The masks were meant to be disposable, thrown out after a job. One witness survived and described them too well, so the corporation polished the myth instead, and it now sends the masks wherever a problem needs to disappear fast.

The teaser

The teaser runs forty-eight seconds and never shows the room. Glassbishop raises one finger in the lobby, the way an instructor does, and briefs the other three before the door. Cherry petals are already down on the marble, and one has caught on the cheek of his mask. Muzzle goes in last and comes out first to say it is done. The cut goes straight from the lobby before to the smile after, and the middle is never shown. One frame came back with a misprinted word on a file label. The edit kept the frame.
